Where to Next?

If you've known me for any length of time you're likely already aware that I feel called to missions and that the past couple of years have been in direct pursuit of just that. If you're new to this information, let me catch you up to speed!

I'm Sarah Grace, I gave my life to Christ in August of 2018 and in early 2020 I heard about missions for the first time. I was immediately captured by the longing to just go. However, God was working with me and had planned to grow my patience. From ages 15-16 missions felt like a far off dream, yet my consistent prayer was "here I am, Send me." Finally in February of 2021, God gave me a trip to Guatemala. I spent 3 weeks with an incredible team of 22 students just like me serving outside of Antigua last summer. That is where my dream of a pursuing missions became a reality.
After returning home last July I immediately began to ask God "What's Next?" Not long after, others began asking me the same question. Multiple trips came to my attention, but just as quickly as doors were seemingly opened they were closed. I could write about what I learned through those offers and how persistent Gods faithfulness was through my moments of doubt but I have other news to address: After months of praying for an opportunity to arise, God has given me a chance to serve.
So Where?
At the end of April I received a call to go to Papua New Guinea for 5 weeks. Dan and Christine Bushy are headed to PNG to train missionaries through a Leadership Seminar with YWAM. I have been invited to lead children's ministry alongside Grace Anderson. Essentially we will be serving the children of the missionaries while their parents are in the seminar. The trip is a month long spanning from August 23- September 23 and amazingly the only cost I need to cover is travel expenses from America to Papua New Guinea. This is still an expense for me and much like my previous trip I will be reliant on God and His will to get me there. I will be sending out information about how you can help support me financially in the coming weeks.
How can you support me now?
While I’m still not quite ready to begin asking for financial contribution, prayer is heavily needed. There is more to pray for than there is to pay for. Here are a few requests:
- That the people we meet and serve would feel well loved.
-That my team and I could properly imitate Christ throughout our trip.
-That my team and I would be surrounded by Gods presence and peace as we approach the trip.
- That Holy Spirit would give us the words to speak and the actions to take in the moments needed.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and hopefully the time to pray about my trip to PNG.
Blessings!
